“May you live all the days of your life.” WB Yeats

…And so my birthday begins with a herd of turkeys! What luck…

Groucho Marx —  October 2, 1890
Proud member of the Libra ⚖️ Brigade
Against Inequality and For Jollity for All 🃏

As Groucho Marx once said, 'Anyone can get old—all you have to do is to live long enough'.

—Queen Elizabeth II speaking at her 80th birthday celebration in 2006.

MARX and LENNON !!

Both Libra ⚖️ and musicians 🎶

John Lennon — October 9, 1940:
“Life is what happens when you’re busy making other plans.”

Were I born in England, I would have same birthday as John Lennon — 🇬🇧  UK, including Liverpool, 8 hours ahead of US.

…And same goes for Nicholas Roerich b. Oktober 9, 1874, St. Petersburg Russia
Artist, mystic and husband of Helena who founded Agni Yoga and translated Blavatsky’s
Works into Russian.

The Enigmatic Lenny Bruce, born Leonard Alfred Schneider, October 13, 1925.

“Even if you are Catholic, if you live in New York you're Jewish. If you live in Butte, Montana, you are going to be goyish even if you are Jewish.”

“I won't say ours was a tough school, but we had our own coroner. We used to write essays like "What I'm Going to be If I Grow Up.”

There are never enough 'I love you's.”

― Lenny Bruce

Please, Sir, may I have some more?

Yet another Libra?! OK,but just one…
But what a one!
That’s Himself, all right
Oscar Fingal O’Flahertie Wills Wilde
October 16, 1854, Dublin, Ireland 🇮🇪

“A dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world.”

I also like: “When I was young I thought that money was the most important thing. Now that I am old, I know that it is.” — Our Libra brother Oscar did not have an easy life, or death. I do hope that, as they say in Ireland, he was at the gates of heaven an hour before the devil knew he was dead…

Well I could go on so…there’s the Two Jacks

    Jack Parsons —
Magician, Inventor, and Rocket Scientist 🚀 born Marvel Whiteside Parsons, October 2, 1914
Some say Pasadena’s Jet Propulsion Labs are actually Jack Parson’s Labs; and so should be.
And John Silas“Jack” Reed, October 22, 1887, Portland OR
War correspondent during the Mexican revolution, best known for his coverage
of the Russian Revolution: 10 Days That Shook the World.

Epic Film based on his 📕 REDS

But let us continue with my small and somewhat less flamboyant life.
Not only starring turkeys but my winged self!
Taken at Brick West microbrewery these are actually hop wings.
Their entire outdoor patio area is a-swim with PUMPKINS now,
on sale for charity event. Alas I had not time then to either sample their brew or collect a 🎃.

A little about my new home, for now: Cedar Village — my wee cabin in the woods.

🌞☀️ It  does have lovely sunbeams of a morning…and I do like the wood paneling.

“Aye-up, mi ducks!” As they say in the Midlands of jolly England. I do so enjoy a lovely duck.🦆
And here are two; lovely Mergansers, I believe, have a bit of that hood about them.
Such a find at thrift shop, 99 cents.

Having no bed, nor furniture, a furnished room is just the thing. Have Xfinity widescreen tv and internet, as well as water, heat, AC, electricity, sewer and garbage all included in rent. My neighbors are great folk to know and everyone is very friendly and helpful if one needs help moving heavies and the like.👍
Also lots of dogs about so I have no lack of canine companions. 🐾

And I do so love the surrounding area, all protected wetlands so there isn’t a great lot of sprawling buildings or houses, just lots of pine and fir, maples beginning to turn now 🍁🍂and copses of birch.

It’s the season!🍄

What else can I say but:
                                                                  Or:
